As the weather gets colder and winter settles in, this week's weather pic takes us back to the warmer summer months and a picture of Niagara Falls taken by Mrs Alexander. There is even a rainbow as the water droplets in the spray of the waterfall disperse the light. Wonderful weather pic!

This weeks weather pic is quite literally a humdinger and was taken by Mrs Campbell. Look at the menacing skies over Newport giving birth to a double rainbow. A wonderful first weather pic of the year!

 

Weekend Weather forecast 121007

Met club and the weekend forecast is back. Following the departure of the year 8 pupils last term, we have a whole new group of forecasters, mainly from year 5, and here is their first attempt at a prediction for the weekend.

Friday 12th October

Friday has a high pressure system overhead. This means that it will be clear and sunny with very little wind. Temperatures will be 15-17 degrees centigrade

Saturday 13th October

By Saturday, the high pressure system has moved away to Germany. There will still be some sunshine but there will be more cloud and a chance of rain.

On Sunday we are between 3 weather systems. To the north it will be very wet and windy but we should have calm, dry weather and sunshine!
